TOP SECRECY |
| SANTERS "Top Secrecy" 1999 (AOR Heaven/Point Music) Prod: Rick Santers
Canadian aorsters Santers are back with a new album. Top Secrecy was original released in Japan in the Santers Box. Now AOR Heaven has picked it up and released it in Europe with 5 live bonus-tracks. If you like other Canadian acts like Triumph, Coney Hatch, The Works, Van Zant and of course the old Santers stuff. It starts off with 2 rockier tracks, the title track reminds of The Works with a good chorus. But they turn up the heat on the third track called Leigh Ann. This is a fantastic AOR song, just listen to the 80 s keyboards and enjoy. Canada AOR at it s best. Dry your tears is a good AOR-ballad. Lightning s gonna strike is a rockier track that make me think of Coney Hatch, great song. Heaven on Earth and Never wanna let you go are 2 great AOR-songs were Van Zant comes in mind. Tearing us apart starts slow but turn out to a rockier AOR-song to the chorus and what a chorus then. The live tracks are pretty good, you get to hear Mistreatin Heart, Time after time, Back streets, Shot down in flames and The rapper. The 10 studio tracks are great there are not a single weak track. This was a great surprise for me. If you miss some of the great 80 s AOR acts that I have mention then go and get Top Secrecy right away. This is a great AOR-album. Juha Harjula
